Long-time East Stroudsburg SID Pete Nevins, Passes Away

Pete Nevins, the sports information director at East Stroudsburg University from 1969-2002, passed away Saturday (Jan. 6) at the age of 68. Nevins was the president of ECAC-SIDA during the 1976-77 academic year, and was the recipient of the association's Irving T. Marsh Award in 1986. This past summer at the ECAC-SIDA Workshop in Oneonta, N.Y., Nevins was presented with the Bob Kenworthy Good Person Award; he is the only person in the organization's history 51-year history to receive all three awards.
