Dear ECAC-SIDA Members,

I hope 2008 is off to a great start for everyone!
ECAC-SIDA presents several major awards at its annual workshop. The deadline for nominations for this year’s award has been extended to January 31, 2008.

We hope you will take the time to think of those worthy enough to receive these awards, and submit a nomination on their behalf. The Board relies on nominations from the membership for voting on these prestigious awards.

Bill Esposito Award - presented to a graduating college senior who wishes to pursue a career in athletic communications. The Award is named to honor the memory of one of the true patriarchs of the sports information profession.

University Division Marsh Award - presented annually to an ECAC Sports Information Directors Association member who, in the opinion of the ECAC-SIDA membership and Executive Board, has exhibited excellence in the field of sports information. The University Division winner should come from a Division I or a Division II conference or school.

College Division Marsh Award - presented annually to an ECAC Sports Information Directors Association member who, in the opinion of the ECAC-SIDA membership and Executive Board, has exhibited excellence in the field of sports information. The College Division winner should come from a Division III, NAIA or Junior College conference or school.

Bob Kenworthy Good Person Award - presented to an exceptional person who, through their actions, shows the same respect for the profession, their fellow SID's, the media and the community as did Bob Kenworthy during his long and successful career.

ECAC-SIDA Media Award - presented to an individual in either print or electronic media "for outstanding coverage of eastern college athletics." The recipient is selected by a committee comprised of members of the ECAC-SIDA Board.
