Sports information responsibilities are one facet of Roger Crosley's position as Coordinator of Athletic Operations at Emerson College. Other duties included under the title are NCAA compliance, contest management and staffing, and coordinating intercollegiate transportation.

The Publicty Director of the New England Football Conference since 1999, Crosley served as Director of Sports Information and Communications at MIT from 1986 through March, 2003. From 1995-1997 the role of Intercollegiate Scheduling Coordinator for MIT's 42 intercollegiate sports was added to his responsibilities.

For the duration of its existance, Crosley was the Secretary/Treasurer for the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference. He also served five years as the ECFC Information Director. Additionally, Crosley is a member of the Executive Board of the Eastern Massachusetts Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Football Hall of Fame, a member of the Division III Football All-America selection committee, and the New England Football Writers All-New England Division II/III Football Team selection committee chair. In 1999 he was awarded the Elmore "Scoop" Hudgens Award by the All-American Football Foundation for lifetime contributions to college football.

Crosley nominated 83 College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-Americas, and coordinated nominations for 24 National Collegiate Athletic Association Postgraduate Scholarship winners.

Crosley has served as Eastern College Athletic Conference - Sports Information Directors Association (ECAC-SIDA) Treasurer since 1987. In 1997 he was named the winner of the Irving T. Marsh Award given by ECAC-SIDA for dedication and contributions to, and excellence in, the field of collegiate sports information.

In 2009, Crosley was the recipient of the Mastersports Jack Grinold SID/Media Award for contributions to college football as an SID/media member.

The first information director for the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association, Crosley held the post for five years. He has also served as publicist for the New England Women's Basketball Association.

He is a member of the Editorial Board of "Athletic Management" magazine, and was a statistician for the Boston Blazers of the Major Indoor Lacrosse League. Crosley is a co-founder of the Eastern Massachusetts Chapter of the Lacrosse Foundation.

A 1974 graduate of Homer (NY) High School, Crosley received a B.S. in 1978 from SUNY College at Brockport, and earned a masters degree in television/radio/film from Syracuse University. He spent a year at WATS/WAVR Broadcasting in Sayre, PA, as News, Sports and Public Affairs Director.

Crosley instructed video and radio production, and public speaking at SUNY College at Cortland, followed by four years as an assistant professor of Communication Arts and sports information director at Dean Junior College in Franklin, Massachusetts. While at Dean, Crosley twice won National Junior College Athletic Association first place awards for seasonal media guides.
